We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) to join our faith-based community health center located near Lafayette, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health services to a diverse patient population through a mix of outpatient and inpatient settings. You’ll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and support staff who are committed to improving mental health access and outcomes within the community.

Schedule: Primarily weekday hours with shared call as needed
Responsibilities:

Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for patients across the lifespan

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Manage a caseload of outpatient clients and provide inpatient consultations as needed

Document patient encounters in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards

Participate in care coordination, case conferences, and community outreach initiatives

Promote the organization’s faith-based mission and values through compassionate and ethical clinical practice
Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

Current and unrestricted Louisiana APRN license (or eligibility to obtain)

Prior experience in community mental health or integrated care preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
